Faces Vases Op Art from J. Sayers on Vimeo. | Students have been learning about symmetry and optical illusions. While symmetry is a math concept it is something that can also be easily taught in Art. They were so excited to see some examples!! It's now their turn to make an optical illusion on the iPad - what do you see a face or a vase. The digital art allows us to do a quick and successful project and still hit on the concepts. To help students with the process I created the following video. |

2nd grade drew owls that we turned into "Wise Old Owls" Whoo Have a Tip for You. After the drawings were done we brought them into the FaceJack app where students recorded what they thought was Wise or Smart to do. See/Listen to them. This past weekend, I participated in an Art educator workshop where we learned to utilize iPads in the Art room. The workshop was led by Western Region and Illinois Art Teacher of the Year Tricia Fuglestad. Here is my first attempt at creating a video in the DoInk app. It is based on VanGogh's Starry Night. |
