This year our town has been selected by the Lake County Solid Wast Management District to be a "green" town & to "dream green". I find this kind of funny since 3rd grade is learning about jellyfish, their environment, and how to keep their environment clean. I planned to do this project last school year (long before I knew the theme), but I think it ties in beautifully. We used the lids from shakes or coffee cups, the oral arms are from garbage bags, and the tentacles are from bright lace. All recycled materials; making it a very "green" project. We even watched a video on Wyland who talks about how important it is for us to keep our oceans and waters clean. So please check out their amazing work! |
